Aquitanian age
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aquitanian is the first age of the Miocene Epoch. It spans the time between 23.03 ± 0.05 Ma and 20.43 ± 0.05 Ma (million years ago). The Aquitanian Stage succeeds the Chattian age of the Oligocene Epoch and precedes the Burdigalian Stage.
The Aquitanian age overlaps the Harrisonian, Agenian, Pareora, Landon, Otaian, and Waitakian ages.
