Buftea is a town and the county seat of Ilfov county, Romania, located 20 km north-west of Bucharest. Its population is growing due to its proximity to Bucharest. One village, Buciumeni, is administered by the town.
The film studios MediaPro Pictures and the Buftea Palace of the Ştirbei family are located in Buftea.
