Gerard van der Lem (born November 15, 1952 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland) is a retired football (soccer) winger from the Netherlands, who made his professional debut for FC Amsterdam on August 12, 1973 against PSV Eindhoven. He later played Roda JC, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Sparta Rotterdam and FC Utrecht.

After his professional career Van der Lem started to work as a football coach, first as an assistant at HFC Haarlem and Ajax Amsterdam, where he was the long-time helping hand of head coach Louis van Gaal. His first assignment as a head coach came in 1999, when he joined AZ Alkmaar. Later he also coached the Saudi Arabia national football team (2002-2004). During the 2006-07 season he coached Apollon Limassol of Cyprus. He is now the coach of UAE club Sharjah FC for the 2007-2008 season. He got fired from Sharjah after a 4-0 loss to rivals Al Wasl in the Presidents Cup.

In July 2008, he was appointed by Panathinaikos FC as a first team coach, while his fellow manager Henk ten Cate will be the club's manager.
