Mark Palios, (born Birkenhead 9 November 1952) is an English chartered accountant, football administrator and a former professional footballer. He played professional football for Tranmere Rovers and Crewe Alexandra. Following a successful career as a chartered accountant with Arthur Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, specialising in business turn-around, he became The Football Association's Chief Executive. In the scandal that linked Sven-Göran Eriksson to Faria Alam, an FA secretary, he chose to resign on account that he did not want his 5 daughters to get hurt. He is currently working as a consultant in the business-turnaround sphere and is a non-executive director of AdEPT Telecom. He was born of an English mother and a Greek father.
