Baby music is the term used to describe music activity classes aimed at pre-school children and their parents,[citation needed] currently popular in the United Kingdom.
In these classes, usually lasting about an hour, the children are encouraged to participate in singing and percussion activities led by a musician-animator who will often play an acoustic guitar. Percussion instruments may also be provided. Typically baby music classes take place in a community hall or other subsidized venue.
In this stage, babies and children are very receptive to music.[citation needed] Toddlers are especially receptive to music cartoons and videos.[citation needed]
