[edit] Merger

The article appears to relate to one small section of a larger article and could easily be merged in to the main article.--Lucy-marie (talk) 15:58, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

  • This proposed merger was rejected in August 2007 (see Talk:Football pitch). For the record I oppose such a merger, the penalty area is significant and important enough to justify a sub-article. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:17, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Support As a previous proposer of the merge I stand by my argument - too little content for it's own article, unlikely to be expanded, and all this content can easily be merged into Football pitch. There's actually very little that needs merging - only the 1901 comment (though it's unsourced), and a mention about its role in goal kicks and defensive free kicks; everything else looks to be in Football pitch already. • oppose notable in its own right. The article could do with some significant expanding; an overhead photo and a plan diagram would be a good start. --Dweller (talk) 13:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
