- This is a Chinese name; the family name is Tian (田).
Tian Kai (? - 199) was an officer of the Three Kingdoms Period who was appointed as the protector of Qing by Gongsun Zan. Kai mainly fought against that of Yuan Shao and Liu Bei. When Tao Qian was at one time attacked by Cao Cao, Kai came to his aid. Kai was known very well as a historical figure.
