The 2010 Alaska United States Senate election will be held on November 2, 2010, along other elections to the United States Senate in other states as well as elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections.

First-term Senator Lisa Murkowski narrowly defeated former Governor Tony Knowles in 2004, with 49% of the vote. There were rumors that Governor Sarah Palin may have run against Murkowski to get the spotlight and as a launching board for a 2012 presidential run, but Palin will hold a fundraiser for Murkowski, hoping to end the rumors.[1] FiveThirtyEight.com lists Murkowski's seat as the 24th most likely to switch parties (out of 37)[2]
