There are over two million articles in the English language Wikipedia, on all sorts of topics. Before spending the time to write a new article you should make sure to search with Wikipedia's search feature for an existing article on the topic but listed under a different name. You may also get more detailed results by searching with Google. This can be done by selecting "Google" from the drop down box on Wikipedia's search page or by adding "site:en.wikipedia.org" to your search string on Google.

Wikipedia is a wiki, so you can write the article yourself!
