This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the state of the United States known as the Commonwealth of Kentucky with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at the project's talk.

This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the U.S. State Kentucky, its cities, counties, geography, transportation, culture, history and so on. It aims to improve and refine Wikipedia's resources on Kentucky in a fair and accurate manner and logically link them through a high-quality, well-maintained Portal:Kentucky.

Feel free to add any Kentucky-related articles that need to be addressed or improved, in addition to general tasks. When adding an existing article, ensure that the article is cataloged for the project ({{WikiProject Kentucky}} is on the article's talk page).

• Develop Kentucky toward Featured or Good status.
• Keep all Kentucky-related articles properly categorized.
• Patrol changes to Kentucky-related articles.
• Add {{WikiProject Kentucky}} to the talk pages of Kentucky-related articles and other types of pages.
• Categorize Kentucky-related articles using the project's assessment system.
• Keep Portal:Kentucky fresh and in good shape; Contact User:Bedford for more details.
• Add Kentucky-related articles that get frequent changes or are susceptible to vandalism to the Project Watchlist.
• Finish adding the {{Kentucky-stub}} template to all existing Kentucky-related stub articles.
• Target additional Kentucky-related articles to take to Featured or Good status.
• Identify and list all Kentucky-related infoboxes and navigational templates on a subpage, and consider the development of new ones.
• Develop a guideline for creating new Kentucky-related articles.
